The U.S. National Indoor Championships and the JOAD National Indoor Championships are 2 separate events held at the same venue over a 3-day weekend and contested at different regional sites throughout the U.S.

Youth archers may compete in both the U.S. National Indoor Championships and the JOAD National Indoor or just one of the two events.

#IndoorNationals is a nationwide event, held at thirteen different locations over five weekends in February and March. Just choose the location and date that works for you, and register to join the fun!

At each location, there are two tournaments to choose from: the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) National Indoor Championships for youth archers who are members of a JOAD Club, and the U.S. National Indoor Championships for adult and youth archers.

At the 2019 US Indoor Nationals archery tournament, I helped set up the tournament by arranging chairs, putting up targets bails and stands, and I made sure the score cards were ready. During the tournament, I made sure everything was correct for each and every line that came up to shoot. At the end of the event, I helped with tear down by removing chairs, bails and stands while also setting up the tables and medals for the awards ceremony.

I learned from my contribution to the archery events that there are many elements that go into making an event successful especially when it is mostly student-run. It is very important that every person correctly and efficiently does their part, or the event will not goes as planned.

The 2019 US Indoor National archery tournament is held for archers to not only show off their skills, but for them to have a competition like setting help them become a better archer. These tournaments allow for archers to know who the best is in the nation which usually causes motivation in other archers. Also, these tournaments are great ways for archers to wrap up the season and gage where they are at the end of the season and prepare for the outdoor season.

The event went well and the turn out was more than excepted. Due to the increase in attendance, we had to add extra lines at the last second to accommodate all the archers that traveled around the US and Southern Region to shoot Indoor Nationals. The event was ahead of schedule which made the archers happy with being done early, and this also made the judges and the A&M team happy to give them a break in between shooting lines to rest and prepare for the next line.
