Home2 Suites by Hilton is a more affordable, all-suite extended-stay hotel featuring contemporary accommodations and customizable guest room design. It was launched in January 2009.  Home2 Suites by Hilton was the first new brand introduced by Hilton worldwide in 20 years. As of 2018, it had 290 properties with 30,125 rooms. This hotel brand is based in Memphis, Tennessee and offers an affordable price point within the extended-stay segment that targets both business and leisure travelers. The College Station Home2 Suites by Hilton was built roughly four to five years ago.

Their principles focus on sustainability, giving back to the community, and the green apple. To be sustainable, the company promises to always provide guests with earth-conscious products and services. The company gives back to the community through their Your2 Hands outreach program where they allow their hotel team members to select a local charity of their choice to support and help make a difference in ways that reach far outside hotel walls, engaging members of the community and guests, to make the biggest impact possible. The green apple is the company’s symbol of hospitality because it is fresh and vibrant like their hotels. I selected to learn not just about one specific area of the hotel but about all of the different positions that exist in hotel so that I would have a better understanding of the total operation of the hotel. So far, I have focused on the front desk, the night audit, laundry, housekeeping, lobby and sales.
