To present opportunities for youth leadership development and hands-on involvement in the planning process for the Youth Summit Conference in the Summer. Our vision is to expose, engage and educate children to future leadership and involvement experiences.

The event went very well for getting a late start on planning and getting everything together due to the state taking their time on approving everything we sent out and needed for the YAC Rep Weekend.  This weekend helped a ton with planning the Youth Summit and getting to hear the voices of the YAC Reps of what they would like to see from the Youth Summit for them and everyone else that is attending to be in their best interest.

One day of planning was very successful, and the activities that were planned from walking around campus to going to a Softball game gave the Reps an A&M experience to remember forever.

During the planning and organization of the YAC Rep Weekend, I found out that working with the state is not easy at all and puts delays on events and projects.  All the companies we used to make the YAC Rep Weekend successful were very accommodating when we faced delays with the state.

I was in charge of getting the hotel rooms booked for the YAC Reps.  I also created and sent out the form to ensure that travel accommodations were met and set up for the YAC Reps if that was either by booking a flight to College Station or a rental car to drive. Finally, I booked the rooms at Rudder for the planning events.  I also was in charge of keeping track and monitoring the budget for the YAC Rep weekend.
